To the anon wondering about the beautiful image’s origins, here’s what KYM has to say:
Origin
It is said that the drawing originated in the Fan Art Gallery of the now-defunct Sonic fansite Sonic Central, but unfortunately, the original artist of the drawing is currently unknown. The earliest known online posting of the image appeared in a thread titled “LETS FLOOD SONIC CENTRAL’S FANART GALLERY” on the Youchew.net forums, when the image was posted by Youchew member Cortes on January 26th, 2008.
This may be hard to believe, but this is not a photograph. Talented artist Rory partridge draws hyper-realistic pieces using a biro pen. Each drawing takes up to 48 hours to complete, and he has been commended as the best biro pen artist of all time.
Stunning. Absolutely stunning. It’s pleasing to know that there are still REAL artists out there. Take notes, people.
